Ok here it is, its untested on any computer except mine tho, it runs okish on at least 1024 cuda cores. (gtx 680 spec) This is all i can do, until someone leaves a message back for me. OH MAN! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. is your diffuse calculation more complex than a lambert? fractals are the way of the future, im planning on doing fractals and bending depth map imposters for characters, fancy stuff... i just disbanded from considering diffuse completely and just used a more well equippe...

Something a bit off topic... all that letter talk reminds me of geometric optics. (ck-trrnce is D*F*G) if you get the most realistic microshadowing function, just rinse and repeat it for so many bounces then im imagining you couldnt be defeated, your first bounce you get with one compute per pixel, ...

64 bit is more for integers i think than decimals, but your stuck with a smaller scene with floating point values, ive seen it myself, the camera starts shaking a bit when you go out of 32 bit range.
So sometimes i guess you need to.
