Re: My Path Tracer + Bidirectional Path Tracer

50 FPS for the path tracer... looks really better ;-)

But as you know, there is more "math" stuffs with the BDPT and also more divergence because of additional lights path... so, doing a fast PT is simple... but doing a BDPT with the same speed... I'm not sure it is possible !

Re: My Path Tracer + Bidirectional Path Tracer

Hi, Yes it was with 3.5 ! It works with 3.0 but looks VERY VERY SLOW !! I got 4 FPS on a GTX690 I have try to reproduce your test scene in our GPU renderer, it use a kind of BDPT too... and is not optimized yet (For the next version) ! 47 FPS ! And with our new path tracer (no caustics) we got 200 F...

Re: SBVH - support of different kind of primitives

Thanks, I already have a multi-level structure, but I'm afraid that seperating every kind of primitive will simply : a) increase the memory size b) decrease the performance because we will have multiple structures to traverse So, I think that I have to put all the primitives kind in the same structu...

SBVH - support of different kind of primitives

Hi there, I use a SBVH to accelerate my current engine (GPU engine), but for now I only support simple triangle... and working on adding sphere, cynlinders, hairs etc... My problem is that the "leaf" of the SBVH contains a pointer to a set of primitives, but all of the same kind, something like this...

Re: Measure the convergence speed

Thanks,

Yes I already see all theses methods... I will surely try to implement both and I'm sure that both will be useful for different purpose.

BTW, there is no way without "reference image", by example, by measuring the pixel color after every pass ?
