I know that's a bit lame question... But how your competitor will now you are using their patented technology if it is so low level like some particular sequence in QMC method. They do reverse engineering? Or when they start to feel competition they just sue you on all "possible" infringements they ...

I thought once can only have a patent for an algorithm (i.e. how to generate a particular sequence), but not a sequence itself, as it's just a mathematical formula, which can not be protected. Am I wrong or what?
