Job Description

For two decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics. Today, visual computing is becoming increasingly central to how people interact with technology, and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a passion for ray tracing and GPU programming to join as a core member of our international engineering team.
Possible location: Berlin; Salt Lake City; Santa Clara

What you’ll be doing:
You will be working on all aspects of the NVIDIA OptiX SDK and related projects, including API and feature design, code architecture, ray tracing algorithms, shader compilation, and low-level performance optimization.
You will also be collaborating with hardware architects, researchers, and driver engineers, in order to help push the state of the art of ray tracing and serve our customers in the Design, Film, Research, and Entertainment communities.

What we need to see:
5+ years of industry experience
Strong knowledge of C/C++
Strong software architecture and problem solving skills
Experience with CUDA/GPU programming
Expert in at least one of
1) Compilers, LLVM
2) 3D graphics, ray tracing, rendering techniques
3) High performance CUDA/GPU programming
Passionate, proactive, and highly productive
Able to work with a small amount of supervision as part of a distributed team
Fluent written and oral communication skills in English
Located or willing to relocate to one of the locations listed above
