As you already mentioned, ompf focus is different than on unbiased rendering and I think your forum should be offered as an complement to ompf. Not replace it.

My questions to you are:
How much are you commited to supporting this forum/community?
For how many years are you ready to maintain this forum?
Do you plan this forum to be owned privately only or do you have a plan to pass it on to someone else to maintain when you loose interest?

Sorry for those questions but through the years, I've seen so many forums being started with the owner good intentions only to be left to die after a while when something else more interesting came in the way. The old ompf forum being the one closest to us.
