I feel that "render" is too general, but "path" and "pathtracing" are too specific.
I really agree with ingenious in this. render is to little and path is to much, but ray something is just right
What does ompf stand for? and should we make a sequel?
I always remembered it as zero miles per fuck, but that's just me...

To me, "ompf!" is the feeling I get when I see a real good and fast real-time renderer. In the past, they were simple ray tracers and today, they are path tracers.
Maybe we should start imagining meanings to the OMPF acronym.
My contribution: "On Multiple Probability Functions".
That feels familiar, given the sort of render problems we are solving these days.
