Mitsuba 0.4.0 released

Postby wjakob » Wed Oct 03, 2012 11:15 pm

Hello all,

I've released a new version of Mitsuba, which may be useful to some folks on this forum. It's a "researchy" modular renderer in the style of PBRT with a strong focus on bidirectional rendering techniques and good performance. The new release contains (to my knowledge) the first openly available correctly working version of Veach-style MLT, along with manifold exploration and a whole bunch of other things.

Here is a link to the full announcement: http://www.mitsuba-renderer.org/devblog/?p=473

Enjoy!

I've seen your SIGGRAPH talk on manifold exploration, thank you for giving us an implementation to read and play with!

Just want to echo stefan's sentiments. Beautiful work, and thanks for open sourcing this!
