EDIT:
There is also the old archive, maintained by franz: http://appleseedhq.net/galleries/glitch ... es-ompforg
Lets start with some spheres:
And the infamous green shadows picture, a true classic:
Noise gone wild:
This actually was a simple cylinder:
Some nice filtering:
Small refraction issues:

My parents had art like those spheres.
i'm actually considering to put some up as art myself. the noise and refraction ones are great. something to fill the walls at home

Can't you see torus knot in a room colorized with barycentric coordinates? ... In fact, my attemp to quickly implement Wald triangle test on GPU

(needs some debugging to work though....)
EDIT: Still not there, but getting closer (ended in another nice glitch)

Still toying with general quadrics as "fundamental" primitives. Building and traversing kD-trees is hard ...
(Pure white means the ray has missed all surfaces. The tinted tiles are supposed to hint at the subdivision of voxels.)

My humble contribution to the legendary thread. I don't remember what exactly happened, but I was writing a shader and something obviously went wrong.
